The Why In Our What..
FOR THE PETS
Our journey is one of continuous improvement, in both pet product innovation and sustainability. As we seek new (and improved) methods to bring joy to your pets, we remain steadfast in our support of positive environmental initiatives. This is fueled by our unwavering devotion to our pets, our planet and you.
USING STRIDE PET PRODUCTS AS A FORCE FOR GOOD
Running a business is not easy, and running a business that protects the planet, people and our pets is a whole other ball game. Here are some insights into what makes Stride Pet products different.
We Genuinely Care – The 3 P’s
Both founders are committed to the 3 P’s: people, planet + pets and have been championing environmental and animal welfare movements long before Stride was born. Stride Pets is an extension of their commitment, a vehicle for change. We want every Stride product to inspire for a better tomorrow.
Accountability
Running any business means being accountable to every single person that business comes in contact with. That is why at Stride we try to be as open as possible. Internally we question everything and wonder how we can be better. We continually audit our whole supply chain, set daily, weekly and annual targets and measure them accordingly and our favourite bit, we open dialogue with our customers. We ask you what your pain points are and how we can solve them. This is an ongoing process and our aim is to get a little bit better every day.
Pet Safety
We vehemently oppose the use of toxic and harmful chemicals in our pet products. There are many chemicals that need to be avoided but the obvious ones are bisphenol A (BPA) and phthalates. Our mission is to create the most innovative and sustainable pet products on planet earth, and harmful chemicals have no place in this endeavour.
FAQs
Stride Pet Products is a fast growing company, and from day one we have strived to remain committed to our goals of sustainability and innovation in the pet industry. These are our guiding principles and we hope to only get stronger in these areas.
Stride Pet Products was founded by Kane Casey and Jamie Tipple in 2016. Both committed pet owners who grew dissatisfied with the quality of pet products on the marke at that time. They decided to combine their experience in design, manufacturing and their understanding of what pets wanted, and created Stride Pet Products.
We strive to design and manufacture the strongest and most durable pet products in the market, but nothing is indestructible. But with our care and passion for craftsmanship, we don't think you will be having any problems. Should you have an issue with any Stride product, we welcome you to contact us so we can resolve it.
We have offices in both the UK and China, with a founder based in each location. This enables us to be responsive to both our customers and market trends. We part own our manufacturing facilities, which gives us full control on quality of products and care for the workers that make them. We manufacture in Asia and Europe, depending on the product in question.
We offer a wide range of colours which we produce from 100% natural and safe pigments sourced sustainably from the beautiful landscapes of Asia and South America.Â
Our pigments come from natural elements; they are extracted into small particles using several different processes.Â
Different colour pigments can be extracted from: Minerals, plants, bark, stone and many more unusual sources.Â
Upon completion of these processes, a powder form is left over which is then mixed and rolled with the natural rubber giving the final products their colour.
Due to using these natural pigments, we can sleep well at night knowing that Stride has pursued its goal of offering products with minimal trace left behind. Yes, there are absolutely zero toxic chemicals in your Stride pet products.
All of our products are made from 100% natural rubber which comes from the rubber tree (Hevea Brasiliensis)Â
We source our material from the depths of the Vietnamese forests that strictly adhere to standards such as TCVN 3769: 2004, TCVN 6314: 2007 and ISO 9001: 2008; ISO 14001: 2004; FSC / FM-CoC.Â
The rubber, also known as latex, is harvested through a process called tapping.Â
This is done by making an incision into the bark and allowing the sap to come out which can be collected sustainably for up to 30 years.Â
Due to this tapping process, we ensure that no trees are damaged, just think of it like the trees are sweating, just like we do.Â
Once the rubber has been rolled out and mixed with the pigment colours, it is ready to be pressed into moulds to produce the final Stride pet products we know and love.
